Each year, schools across Georgia collect survey data from families to better understand their experiences. This survey allows parents and guardians to share their thoughts about our schools, helping us identify strengths and areas for improvement. We kindly ask every parent or guardian to complete a survey for each school their child(ren) attends this year. Your responses are confidential, and school leaders will use the feedback to enhance our learning environment.

Wilkes County Schools will have a Virtual Learning Day on Thursday, January 23, due to hazardous road conditions. While some roads are clear, many remain covered in ice and snow. Congratulations to the Teacher of the Year nominees for 2025-2026! The winners at each school will be announced on March 10th, 2025.

This morning's screening process provided a valuable learning experience for everyone involved. While there was a brief wait for students, we are pleased to report that no one was tardy for class. Students who arrived on time were able to proceed to class without delay. We deeply appreciate the patience and support shown by our faculty, staff, parents, guardians, students, and the broader community as we work together to implement and refine these new procedures.
To further streamline the process, we kindly ask students to limit the non-school-related items they bring to school. This will help reduce the time needed to identify items during the screening. Thank you for your understanding and partnership in making this transition successful!

Reminder: Tomorrow, January 7th, will be the first day of using the new metal detectors at WWMS/WWCHS.
