Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School will hold its graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 on Friday, May 22, at 8:00 PM. At this time, graduation is planned to take place at Tiger Stadium.
A final decision regarding weather and the graduation venue will be made at 5:00 PM on Friday. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the WWCHS Gymnasium. If graduation is held in the gym, graduating seniors should report to the cafeteria at 7:00 PM.
There is no ticket limit for attendance, regardless of the location. All attendees should be prepared to go through a safety screening upon entry. Noise-making devices, balloons, and large banners or signs are not permitted. We also ask that guests refrain from excessive noise while graduates' names are being called so that each senior can be recognized and celebrated.
For those attending at Tiger Stadium, please avoid the recently created city-maintained ditch areas along South Pecan Street and use caution when parking.
The ceremony will also be livestreamed on the Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Facebook page for family members and friends who are unable to attend in person.

Today, Wilkes County Schools celebrates School Lunch Hero Day and the incredible members of our School Nutrition team.
School Nutrition Director Elizabeth Bohler shared this about the team: “Day in and day out, they show up early, work hard, and serve our students with care, consistency, and heart. Their impact goes far beyond the meals they prepare. They help create a welcoming environment in our schools and play an important role in each student’s day.”
We are grateful for their dedication and the difference they make in our students' lives every day!
