Wilkes County Schools will have a virtual learning day on Friday, March 7, as we rally behind our Lady Tigers Basketball Team in the state championship game. Students should log into Google Classroom to access their assignments. Teachers will communicate with parents and students via Rooms.
The game will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Macon Coliseum in Macon, and we want to give our students, staff, and community the opportunity to show their support. Wilkes County Schools will open online registration applications for Kindergarten students for the 2025-2026 school year on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Any child residing in Wilkes County who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2025, is eligible to attend Kindergarten.
Current Pre-K Students at Washington-Wilkes Elementary: If your child is already enrolled in the Pre-K program at Washington-Wilkes Elementary, you do not need to complete the Online Registration application. You will receive separate instructions for the Kindergarten registration process.
New Kindergarten Students: If your child is not currently enrolled in the Washington-Wilkes Elementary Pre-K program, you must complete the Online Registration application. After submission, you will receive further instructions on the additional paperwork needed to complete the registration process.
