It’s that time of year again - Seamless Summer Meals are here! The Wilkes County School Nutrition Department is excited to once again provide meals for our school children, as well as any child 18 years old and younger in our community.
Throughout May, June, and July, summer meals will be available at various locations throughout Wilkes County. Please reference the attached flyers for specific meal sites, dates, and serving times.
On Thursdays at participating community locations, children will also receive 3 breakfast meals and 3 lunch meals to take home for the weekend.
Please note: Participation in the Summer Camp at the Parks and Recreation Department requires an application. Families interested in the summer camp program should complete the required application process with the Parks and Rec department.
Reminder: The Seamless Summer Meal Program is available only for children 18 years old and younger. Unfortunately, meals cannot be provided to adults.
We look forward to serving our community this summer!

The Wilkes County Lady Tigers will compete in the GHSA State Basketball Championship on Thursday, March 12th, at 1:00 PM at the Macon Coliseum in Macon.
Wilkes County Schools will observe a Virtual Learning Day on Thursday, March 12th, in place of the previously scheduled early release day. This will allow students, families, and staff the opportunity to travel to Macon and support the Lady Tigers as they compete for a state title. Principals and directors will provide guidance for staff regarding expectations for Thursday. Friday will remain a scheduled In-Service day for staff, and students will not report.
These young women have represented Wilkes County with pride both on the basketball court and in the classroom. Their dedication, teamwork, and commitment reflect the support of their families, coaches, teachers, and the entire Wilkes County community.
We encourage our community to come out and support the Lady Tigers as they compete for a state championship. We hope to see Tiger fans filling the stands in Macon as we rally behind our team.
