Please join us for the 2nd Annual Autism Awareness Walk-A-Thon on Sunday, April 07, 2024, at 08:30 AM at Lake Olmstead Park in Augusta GA. We are excited to host a Washington Wilkes team at no cost – just scan the QR code to join our Washington Wilkes team. This walk-a-thon is dedicated to raising awareness and support for autism. It's a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, show solidarity, and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with autism and their families. Please make sure your Wilkes County App is up to date! On Monday, March 18th, Parents/Guardians will receive a message from "edurooms" with information on setting up your two-way communication tool, Rooms. Within our app, you can switch to Rooms to see class-specific announcements and send direct messages to teachers!

The deadline to order a yearbook is quickly approaching. Only a few extras will be ordered. Please send in the money to secure your copy before March 22nd. Online orders have ended and all orders must be sent to the school.

GREAT NEWS, PARENTS! Our Otis Spunkmeyer fundraiser is going so well that they are EXTENDING the fundraiser due date!!! The new due date will be MONDAY, MARCH 18TH! This allows plenty of time for last minute purchases from family and friends!
Parents, be sure to fill out the "items sold" slips, and have your child turn these in to their HOMEROOM teacher. They will earn a prize for # of items sold. Students are really enjoying their prize! If you are FINISHED with selling, please have your child turn in their order form to their homeroom teacher. 7 DAYS TO GO!

The Book Fair is Coming!!!!

Ms. Boyer's class went on a Nature walk today. Not only did we go and look for Vascular and Non- Vascular plants, but we were also fortunate to come up on a beaver dam and talk about it! Mr. Luke from Pig and Bull was nice enough to come and talk about when he has been able to see the beaver and what happens when a beaver dam is built.

Ms. Boyer's class has been working hard on their "Create an Animal" project. The students had to list multiple traits, behaviors and decide on which Vertebrate group their animal would belong in. Great job students!



Little paleontologists were hard at work this morning in Mrs. Fritts' class. They have been studying dinosaurs in PreK this week.

Congratulations to our district-level Young Georgia Authors Winners! These students will advance to compete in the Central Savannah River Area RESA competition.
