Wilkes County Schools welcomes Mr. Eric Little as our new Director of Transportation!
Mr. Little brings more than 20 years of experience in education and student transportation. He earned his Bachelor's, Master's, and Specialist degrees from Georgia College & State University and began his career as a middle grades teacher before moving into transportation leadership.
Throughout his career, Mr. Little has served as a Transportation Director in both Putnam County and Baldwin County, focusing on student safety, staff training, and improving transportation services. He has also secured millions of dollars in grant funding to support transportation programs and school bus purchases.
In 2025, Mr. Little was recognized by the Georgia Department of Education as the Oconee RESA Transportation Director of the Year for his leadership and commitment to serving students, families, and schools.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Little to Wilkes County Schools and look forward to the leadership and experience he will bring to our transportation department!
