March is National Nutrition Month®
This year’s theme is “Put your Best Fork Forward.” Families are encouraged to make small, healthy shifts in food choices when cooking at home. Making healthy food choices, one fork at a time, can prevent diseases before they occur. Here are nutritious foods that everyone can eat more of:

• Vegetables, including dark green, red, and orange veggies, beans, and peas
• Fruits, especially whole fruits
• Whole grains
• Fat-free or low-fat dairy, including milk, yogurt, and cheese
• Protein foods including eggs, lean meats, poultry, nuts, and seafood
• Healthy oils like olive or avocado
